All Products Norton 2006 Instructions

Instructions for configuring Norton Internet Security 2006 to work with any ProQuest Product

 

  1. Open Norton Internet Security 2006.

  2. Click on Privacy Control

  3. Click on configure.

  4. Click on Advanced.

  5. Click on Add Site.

  6. Remove the www. from the box and type in umi.com.

  7. Choose umi.com from the list.

  8. Uncheck “Use default settings� for all options under the global settings tab.

  9. Choose Permit for all options under Global Settings tab. (Note: Under Information about visited sites, choose Permit and not Permit Same Site)

  10. Repeat steps 5-9 but using the following instead of umi.com.:

    • chadwyck.com

    • Heritagequestonline.com

    • Sirs.com

    • Bigchalk.com

    • Culturegrams.com

    • Proquestk12.com

    • Elibrary.com

    • Safaribooksonline.com

    • auth.athensams.net

    • pqathens.umi.com

  11. Click Ok.

  12. Log into ProQuest through your library.
