A proxy server is a server that acts as an intermediary between your users and the Internet so that you can ensure security and improve performance. You can enable authentication/access via proxy server in the ProQuest Administrator Module. If you don't know the proxy URL, check with your library administrator.
Note: The ProQuest Administrator Module is for authorized library/institution personnel only. Please contact technical support if you do not have an account set up, or if you forgot your login information.
Steps to add the proxy prefix:
- Log into the ProQuest Admin Module https://0-admin-proquest-com.library.cairn.edu/
- Click Authentication / Access button on the left side
- Click the Proxy tab in the middle of the page https://0-admin-proquest-com.library.cairn.edu/proxytab
- Enter your prefix in the forms below. This is based on a proxy prefix of proxy.schoolname.edu
EZProxy: https://proxy.schoolname.edu:2048/login?url= OR https://proxy.schoolname.edu/login?url= if the proxy does not require a port number
III WAM proxy: https://0-search.proquest.com.proxy.schoolname.edu
if using another proxy service provider, please contact the provider for their recommended URL structure.
