How do I edit the 856 field in Safari MARC records?

This requires a MARC Edit, which can be downloaded from http://marcedit.reeset.net/downloads

1. Download the MARC records from Safari BackOffice
2. Open Marc Edit
3. Click on MARC Tools
4. Click on MARC Tools Main
5. In the input file you will want to enter the file you have download using Browse
6. In the output file you will want to select a .txt file (in the same folder)
7. Make sure that MarcBreaker is checked
8. Click Execute

This will convert all the MARC files into the .txt file. You will want to open that file and do a find and replace with the proxied URL. An initial 856 field looks like below. The $u is extremely important so be careful with your find and replace.

Once everything is setup properly, you will want to convert them back to MRC file again. To do this:

1. Go back to MARC Tools Main
2. In the input file you will want it to be the .txt file
3. In the output file you will want it to be the .MRC
4. Select MarcMaker in the functions list
5. Click Execute
