Libraries can customize the loan or download duration for owned and subscribed ebooks by access model, or for owned books, they can customize it by individual title.
To customize the number of loan or download days allowed for owned and subscribed ebooks by access model:
-Go to LibCentral > Settings > Access Permissions
-Click on the name of the permission ID (often labeled "Default" or "General" or a custom name)
-Go to the "owned tab"
-In the text boxes to the right of the heading "Download Days," enter the number of download days allowed for each access model type. Libraries can set any number of download lengths by entering multiple numbers separated by commas (example: 1, 2, 7, 21)
To set the number of loan or download days allowed for an individual owned title, use Book Level Permissions:
-Go to the ebook's full record in LibCentral
-Under the heading "Book Level Permissions" (in the bottom right corner), click "edit"
-Enter the number of download days allowed for the access model. Libraries can set any number of download lengths by entering multiple numbers separated by commas (example: 1, 2, 7, 21). Entering just 0 for download days will disable downloading for that title.
NOTE: Book Level Permissions only change the loan lengths available for that title. They do not disable the following Access Permission settings: "Preserve 3-user reader access," "Preserve reader access for one user if multiple copies of a 1-user title are owned," or "Do not allow downloads when only one copy of a 1-user title is owned." Book Level Permissions are only available for your owned titles.
