- To customize the default advanced search criteria for Books in Print or Resources for College Libraries, please start by visiting the appropriate product homepage (www.booksinprint.com or rclweb.net).
- If your account is IP authenticated, you will have immediate access. For all other types of authentication, you will need to log into your account. If you have trouble accessing your account, please contact technical support for assistance.
- Once logged in, you will need to click the Administrator link in the top left corner:

- If you had to log in to get to the homepage and used a set of administrator credentials, you'll have immediate access. Otherwise, you will need to log into the section. If you don't have the proper credentials, please contact technical support for assistance.
- Once in the Administrator section, you will find the link Click to Create New Search Templates.
- The link will take you to a page that looks just like your existing Advanced Search page. Make the desired changes and then click to Save.
- You will receive a message prompting you to enter a name for the search template. Enter the desired text and click Save:
- You will receive a message confirming the template has been saved. The next time you visit the Advanced Search page, you will see a drop-down menu where you can select the desired template:
- Each Account can save up to 10 Advanced Search templates and they can be modified and deleted from within the Administrator Section.
- Once in the Administrator section, you will find the link Click to Manage Search Templates.
- From this screen, you will select an existing template from a drop-down menu. You can either make any desired changes and then click Update OR click Delete Search Template.
