Lexile scores match reader ability and text difficulty, allowing individualized monitoring of student progress.
Lexile measures are based on two well-established predictors of how difficult a text is to comprehend: semantic difficulty (word frequency) and syntactic complexity (sentence length).
Results can be sorted by Lexile score, low to high or high to low.
Lexile scores appear in article results list for reference.
Advanced Search allows users to sort results by relevance, date or Lexile score in ascending or descending order. Additionally, students may limit results to a particular Lexile range.
