What is the user experience when EBC is offline temporarily?
When a user clicks to access Ebook Central, they will see a maintenance page rather than the normal product page. Here is a screenshot of what they will see:
Will I be able to access my Ebook Central holdings via LibCentral, Oasis, Rialto, Gobi, Alma?
Ebook Central holdings will be available for customers who use OASIS, Rialto, Gobi and Alma. However, Ebook Central holdings will be unavailable through LibCentral.
Will I be able to purchase Ebook Central titles during this scheduled maintenance?
New Ebook Central purchases – DDA, upgrades, firm orders, etc. – made through OASIS and Rialto will be accepted and processed when the maintenance is over. However, ordering Ebook Central titles through LibCentral – including DDA auto-purchases – will be unavailable during this time.
What do I do if a user needs a book?
If you anticipate needing an ebook during this time, download the ebook chapter or full book (if download is available) prior to the maintenance window for use offline. Download instructions are available here:

This time doesn't work for me, is there anything I can do?
We apologize for this inconvenience. The scheduled maintenance was set at a time when global Ebook Central usage is at its lowest. However, we understand this date may not work for all customers. No changes are being made to your Ebook Central holdings. Your experience will be the same.
Will I need to update links or tags in my MARC Records?
No, your links and tags will not change.
If I use an FTP server to retrieve my MARC records, DDA titles etc., should I expect anything to change?
If you are using one of the FTP sites listed below as part of your workflow, they will also be offline during the maintenance window. However, all your files will remain unchanged. Older files may not appear until a few hours after the maintenance has completed.
Do I need to add new IP addresses to my firewall?
Yes, the IP address to which these host names resolve will change. The new IP address range will be 184.108.40.206/25. Add this range to your firewall.
